Portfolio Enteries: The intent of this portfolio is to allow you to gather information. To begin you are required to write up to 1 page on why you chose this topic( ICE ripping kids away from their families and homes).This portfolio will consist of 9 sources. Each entry/source should consist the following
- Source and link (text). Where it was retrieved from and when? (Original source and date) Include the date it was written/ posted.
- Why did you decide to include it? What values does it add to the portfolio l? How does it help better understand the IPP? (Should be answered in about a paragraph)
- Provide a brief summary of the piece. What is the main point of the piece? (Should be short ip to 8 sentences)
- Depending on the nature of your entry( i.e. if it is about policy or program meant to address the problem, or if it is about the social problem itself) answer at least one of the following for each source (Should be 1-3 paragraphs)
A: What is the role of the federal and/or state government in the passage/implementation of the identified policy/program?
B: Discuss how this IPP helps to empower at-risk and vulnerable populations.
C: What ideologies, theories, paradigms, values and/or beliefs are demonstrated in this entry?
D: Discuss how forms and mechanisms of poverty, oppression and/or discrimination are impacted by this policy/program.
E: How does this relate to history and/or development of social welfare policies/programs in this area?
Must answer each of the above ( a – e ) at least once within the 9 entries .
