Examine the struggles undocumented nannies in such a high demand yet unaccredited the women whom helped American families in urban settings. What is the history behind the migration of the West Indian and Caribbean to the United States, and what led to the high population of them to become nannies in urban areas. In addition include the setbacks in economic, policies and current laws that an undocumented Caribbean/ West Indian nanny has versus those who are documented? Any negative labor experience being an undocumented Caribbean nanny? How has the nanny agencies have an effect of these undocumented women? Although, research has focused on negative labor experiences on these undocumented women, but is there any research or articles that show positive efforts on the employers’ side?
