- Select one of the Leading Causes of Death from 2015/2016 provided to you in the lecture notes. Be sure that you can describe in 1-2 sentences what that cause of death is/refers to.
- Briefly research and identify two Health Disparities that exist in regards to that cause of death (i.e., two groups that are more affected than others).
- Next, select one of the Health Disparities identified in Step 2, and identify and discuss two Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) that contribute to that disparity. You MUST use the SDOH given to you in the Wilkinson & Marmot report. Choose two of these, and describe how they are contributing factors to your specific disparity.
- Propose (and describe) a health policy solution aimed at reducing the health disparity. HINT: There’s no need to reinvent the wheel. You may use an existing solution in whole or in part- just be sure to give credit to your source.
