Program Profile:
Sunshine House is a 24 hour emergency shelter for survivors of family violence. Its parent organization is called Domestic Violence Solutions. Sunshine House offers a variety of amenities, including: a 24 hour hotline; free meals, clothing, and toiletries; 50 shelter beds; peer counseling; advocacy; case management; children’s activities; and legal services. It is stationed separately from the main office at an undisclosed location. Residents are granted a 90-day stay with the possibility for extensions, depending on their progress in meeting their goals.
Its parent organization, Domestic Violence Solutions, also offers non-residential programming. Similar to the shelter, non-residential services are provided free of charge and include: therapy, legal assistance (ex. in filing for protective orders and divorce, etc.), and primary prevention curricula in area schools.
Domestic Violence Solutions, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, was established in 1987 by Jane Doe. Ms. Doe has successfully led the organization as the Executive Director for 30 years.
Jennifer Doe, an SHSU MSVSM Program graduate, has been employed for the past three months as the Shelter Manager.

Part 1: Logic Model–Create a logic model for the mock shelter program you created in CRIJ 5366 (Crime Victim Services and Management) or the generic shelter program I developed for students to use who have not yet taken that course.

Part 2: This section has two sub-parts.

2a. Outcome Statements, Indicators and Targets– Identify four shelter outcomes (complete with indicators and targets). Two of your outcomes are REQUIRED by FVPSA (the Family Violence Prevention and Services Act) and HHSC (the Health and Human Services Commission) : “Clients’ feelings of safety will increase due to shelter services” and “Clients’ knowledge of options and resources will increase due to shelter services.” You’ll need to identify two more. Consult your textbook and the Module 2 Power point for more examples. (Your outcomes in Part 2 should be identical to those in your logic model).
