I want to express my feeling about how being hard of hearing feels like. I want it to be kind of an angry poet but also inspire people. I want the poetry to explain how hard it is being hard of hearing and how people thinks my voice is weird but MY VOICE is amazing from the inside and out. (Something like that). I also want it to motivate people that they can do everything.
When I was younger I used to always think that I can do everything what normal people can do. I thought I wasn’t different. However, I had people around me like some of my teachers and some of my friends who little by little made me feel different. No matter how hard things were the only people who always believed in me was my family. There were times when I started to believe the negative things said about my disability. As time has gone by I have learned to ignore the negative things said about my disability. I have also learned to look for the opportunities to make myself a better person. My disability is the only one aspect of who I am.
DON’T LET YOUR DISABILITY STOP YOU FROM WHAT YOU WANT IN LIFE BECAUSE EVERY PERSON YOU KNOW THERE’S SOMETHING YOU DON’T KNOW
