Write a letter of introduction to the children’s families with whom you will be working with for each placement. The letter should follow standard guidelines for letters (a date, salutation, the body and a signature). It is important that there are no spelling and grammar errors. The letter will need to be approved by your instructor and the classroom teacher. The timeline on when to send the letter to the families in the classroom will be decided on by the student and the classroom teacher. The letter should include the following information:
· Introduce yourself as an OCCC student
· Explain the project you expect to implement and the importance of developing a community of learning
· Provide families with information about your role in their child’s classroom, and ways family members can be involved
· Include the dates you will be working with the children (July 19th -23rd)
