You are a medical technician at the NY MEPS who is looking at ways to improve your organization. One thing in particular is controlling the volume of
applicants who come through the medical floor. Over 100 applicants a day can be very overwhelming and what you noticed that would help is that
applicants with no prior medical history move through the process quite fast. They are able to complete the entire medical and enlisting process in
one day whereas applicants with medical issues must stay back, get appointments, and extra medical documentation. You feel that if we identify
these individuals we will be able to get them complete in a much faster rate therefore, affording you and your colleagues time to focus on the
applicants who will need consults and referrals. You come up with the idea to give them a red dot identifier that will have the doctor know that there
are no prior medical conditions and that further documents are not necessary.
This is a presentation you will be presenting to your supervisor and the Chief Medical Officer about the benefit of this idea and how this will prevent a
domino effect of other departments being put on hold waiting for the applicants to be medically cleared, therefore causing the organization to not meet
deadlines
Also speak on the cons that can come with this. Like, having to supply the red dots (costs) and training all staff about the new process (taking away
time from the mission), possible mistakes(like making someone a red dot when they indeed have a medical history) etc.

  1. Explain your call to action, decision-making process, and communication process. Describe how you will present the call of action to the personnel
who can make it happen. Explains the communication process to the personnel who will be doing the changes.
  2. Explains what you plan to do and why. Provides a timeline and any anticipated problems. Please add 2 reasons why you think they may come back
and denied the change and how you will be prepared with a rebuttal solution.
