Write a reaction paper (minimum one page) after watching the video. This is a story of a family impacted by child abuse and neglect. I think that learning about these topics is more interesting when viewed through the eyes of the people whose lives have been directly impacted by the system we are discussing. I am specifically interested in hearing your thoughts about the following aspects of Patrick’s story: 1) your general reaction to the story; 2) any resiliency factors that you believe were crucial to helping Patrick move forward in his life; and 3) any lessons that the Family Court system can learn from this story in order to better care for children and families impacted by abuse and neglect.
