Reflection Essay Prompt
For this reflection “essay,” you will be addressing various elements of critical reading and writing. You will select one reading assignment from the entire semester (your choice) and write one thorough paragraph for each of the following:
- Summarize the reading assignment you’ve selected.
- Identify key rhetorical strategies the author employs to convey her/his argument. Cover at least 1-3 elements from each of the following categories: kairos, argument, style, and structure.
- Expand on, qualify, or modify the argument in some way.
- Present a counterclaim to the text’s argument or to a minor point made in the text.
In each paragraph, you should be thorough, use specific evidence, and utilize proper grammar, spelling, and diction. This assignment is worth 20 points. It’s due by Wednesday, 12/11
