I am currently planning on applying for my college’s Research Initiative Program. I will also be attaching a pdf to additional files which are the newsletter of this program. And tell what this program is about.
For the application, we have to choose 3 separate research projects and rank them in order of preference.
These are the projects I chose:
1) Ruedas-Gracia, Nidia; Gracia Lab explores how a sense of belonging influences underrepresented students’ psychological well-being and academic performance, and how culture plays a role in that experience (Educational Psychology)
2) Vanderpool, Cari; Microbial Genetics, Physiology, and Metabolism (Microbiology)
3) Benjamin, Aaron; Understanding human learning and memory (Psychology)
What you have to do is you have to write 3 separate 200-word responses that answer the following question for each of the research projects that are listed and ranked above: What interests us about the faculty member’s work you ranked first/second/third? How does it relate to your major or your career goals?
