This week’s readings provide detailed information on rhetorical analysis. In the first essay, you briefly analyzed the use of rhetorical appeals in your selected source. In this thread, discuss the appeal (ethos, pathos, logos) that was either not represented or was weakly addressed in the source. What could the author have done better or more effectively in regard to rhetoric, clarity, organization, or persuasion? In your upcoming essay, you will compare and contrast the source you evaluated in the first essay with a second source of your choice. How can you adjust your search terms or research method to help locate an article that fills in gaps, presents an opposing view, or provides more effective information than the source you analyzed in the first essay? As you respond to classmates’ posts, try to suggest search terms or research methods that would be helpful for them, as well.
