The dominant literature is US-based but the presented cases stem from autocratic states. The political
involvement of the state into economy is on a whole different level. I believe a mismatch is predicable.
Critical Realism (CR) claims political contextuality but when challenging the functionalist approaches, they
themselves disregard the oppositional political background of the analyzed approaches.Is CR a real
