1) One of the most interesting characters in The Iliad is the demi-god Achilles. What did you find most interesting about him and why do you think that is? Do you think he is a character that people can identify with or is he so extreme that individuals cannot relate?
2) Do you think this story (The Iliad) still has influence and significance in today’s world? What morals and values taken from this story still apply today? Are there parts of the story that are completely unacceptable by today’s standards? If so what are they?
