First, review the U.S. Constitution: Articles I, II, & III (Link attached) PowerPoint wherein the powers and duties of the different branches of government are set
out.
After you are familiar with the responsibilities and limitations of each branch of government, read Charles Kessler’s article “What Separation of Powers

Next, post your reasoned belief regarding the extent you feel the “sharing” or power versus the “separation” of power has shaped and affected the roles of
each branch of the government today. Your discussion could include such topics as declaring war as opposed to armed conflicts, treaties as opposed to
executive agreements, etc. (Remember, you are looking at the legal and practical effects, not the political ones.)
