Getting Started
The SWOT analysis is one of the most commonly used strategy techniques in the practice of management. The SWOT analysis is one of the few tools we have that can be used to tie together internal and external concerns and drive forward to find potential solutions to strategic challenges. A financial ratio analysis provides a foundation for a SWOT analysis. Financial ratios can be used to assess the profitability, activity, liquidity, leverage, and market value of a company. Managers can gain insights into company performance by comparing current ratios to prior years of the same company and to competitors in the same industry.
