Case Study: Problem 2
TheSolarGroup (TSG) has decided that its network enterprise architecture can be broken into the four common layers. The layers are business, information, application, and infrastructure. The layers and components of frameworks may differ. Business network requirements are broken down to these layers. The four layers are common, and their content must be understood. The business layer is probably the hardest. These layers have corresponding views for the following:
• Business process
• Data flow
• Network application
• Technology components

• Update the Network Enterprise Architecture Plan document title page with the new date.
• Update the previously completed sections based on your instructor’s feedback.
Week 2: Network Enterprise Architecture Layers
For your selected organization, conduct an in-depth evaluation of the views for each layer of the network infrastructure. A viewpoint might be shared among multiple views, but the definition must be consistent. Document the viewpoints using the following guidelines:
• Identify the enterprise architecture (EA) views within your project.
• For each view, identify the viewpoints.
• Select a viewpoint from each layer, and complete the stakeholders, issues, and methodology for that viewpoint.
• Include these viewpoints in the Network EA Plan.
• Be sure to update your table of contents before submission.
• Name the document “yourname_IT643_IP2.doc.”
Worked Example
Please refer to the worked example that follows for an example of this assignment based on the problem-based learning scenario. The worked example is not intended to be a complete example of the assignment, but it will illustrate the basic concepts that are required for completion of the assignment, and it can be used as a general guideline for your own project. Your assignment submission should be more detailed and specific, and it should reflect your own approach to the assignment rather than just following the same outline provided in the worked example.
