A philosophy should include your thoughts about how children learn, what you believe about education, and the skills, knowledge and characteristics of an early childhood educator. Create your personal educational philosophy that explores your thoughts on how children learn and the skills, knowledge, and qualities of an effective early childhood educator. The philosophy should be a minimum of four paragraphs with each paragraph containing a minimum of 10 sentences.Here are some questions that should be answered as you are writing your philosophy:
Describe the purpose of education and the role of a teacher.
Describe your beliefs about how children learn ans include your approach to education. Consider addressing a few of these topics: Classroom Management, Instructional Strategies, Curriculum design, Diversity of Children, Inclusion, and Assessment.
Explain how your educational philosophy aligns with the NAEYC standards.
Describe your understanding of ethical decision-making based on your experiences during field experiences.
Discuss your knowledge of ethics and professionalism in an early childhood setting.
