  • Hides Internal Diversity: The myth ignores the vast diversity within Asian American communities, including socioeconomic disparities, educational inequalities, and cultural differences.  
  • Perpetuates Racism: By portraying Asian Americans as “model minorities,” it reinforces the idea that other minority groups, such as African Americans and Latinx individuals, are somehow deficient or responsible for their own struggles
