More and more however, we are seeing evidence of corporations choosing to maximize profits, oftentimes at the expense of one of more of its stakeholders. For this assignment, write a one- to two page paper in this paper, please discuss the following:

  1. Outline the difference between being profitable and profit maximization.
  2. Explain what stakeholders are. Find an example of a business that has maximized profits and which stakeholders were affected. Could this company have made different strategic decisions and still be be profitable and healthy?
  3. Contrast this by finding an example of a business which is profitable but has made more ethical decisions in terms of considering their stakeholders.
  4. In your opinion, why do some companies opt to maximize profit rather than being healthy and profitable?
