Advertising Observation

Track the advertising that is visible to you over 1 or 2 hours while logged in to your social media accounts,
browsing sites via Google, on news sites, university sites, or various apps. List all of the ads that you see (up to
a maximum of 25), including screenshots, the product or service being advertised, the brand or company
providing the service/product, and where you saw the ad.
For example:

Home Workout Equipment; Echelon; Facebook Timeline (laptop browser)
Cat Food; Purina; GoodReads app (phone)
Write a personal reflection (500-750 words) on your observations of the ads and the experience of focusing on
the ads. You are not required to directly reference any of the course readings, but your reflection should be
informed by the readings and concepts discussed in class. Do not analyze the ads individually. This is personal
reflection rather than an argumentative essay
