    Concepts Prompting a Different Perspective on the Relationship Between Business and Society Throughout the course, I encountered several concepts that prompted me to look at the relationship between business and society differently. Some of these concepts include: Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): Learning about CSR made me realize that businesses have a responsibility not only to their shareholders but also to the broader society and the environment. This concept highlighted the importance of ethical business practices, sustainable operations, and giving back to communities. Stakeholder Theory: Understanding stakeholder theory helped me recognize that businesses should consider the interests of all stakeholders, including employees, customers, suppliers, and the local community. This perspective challenged the traditional focus on maximizing profits and emphasized the need for a more holistic approach to business decision-making. Environmental Sustainability: The course introduced me to the concept of environmental sustainability and its significance in the business world. This prompted me to consider the environmental impact of business operations and the need for sustainable practices to mitigate climate change and preserve natural resources. Ethical Leadership: The course emphasized the importance of ethical leadership in promoting ethical behavior within organizations. These challenges included: Changing Perspectives: Initially, I found it challenging to shift my perspective from a profit-focused approach to a more holistic view considering societal and environmental impacts. However, through class discussions and assigned readings, I gradually embraced this broader perspective and recognized its significance in creating sustainable businesses. Navigating Ethical Dilemmas: The course presented various ethical dilemmas for analysis and discussion. It was initially challenging to navigate these complexities and determine the most ethical course of action.
