COVID-19’s Impact on Intermodal Transportation

The nature of a research paper is to prove or disprove COVID-19's impact on intermodal transportation. The research and body of the paper argues to prove the thesis statement. The statement below is what I submitted about the topic. The COVID-19 pandemic affected how easily goods could be moved by intermodal transportation. Product shortages, manufacturer delays and restrictions kept transport companies on edge. They had to learn how to adapt and overcome these challenges in order to deliver what was needed. Transport companies started to forecast and plan in advance in case of road closures, truck repairs and vessel delays. Intermodal transportation affects the supplier, carrier, and customer. Developing action plans are crucial for transport companies to be successful through a pandemic.
