In one full sentence, define critical thinking.
How can you apply critical thinking in your work?
Refer to the 2.1 Devotional reading and your knowledge and/or research of Scripture. Explain how you could use critical thinking and at least one biblical idea or principle to help in determining and simplifying what you value in life.
Critical thinking is the process of actively and objectively analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting information to make informed decisions or judgments.
In my work, I can apply critical thinking by questioning assumptions, gathering evidence, considering alternative perspectives, and making logical connections between ideas. This will help me to approach problems and challenges with a more open-minded and rational mindset, leading to better decision-making and problem-solving outcomes.
When it comes to determining and simplifying what I value in life, critical thinking can be beneficial. By critically examining my beliefs, desires, and goals, I can ensure that they align with biblical principles and ideas. For example, I can use the biblical idea of loving others as myself (Mark 12:31) to evaluate whether my values prioritize selflessness and compassion. Additionally, critical thinking can help me identify any inconsistencies or contradictions between my values and Scripture, allowing me to make necessary adjustments and align my life more closely with God's will.
