Cybersecurity policy agenda for the U.S. government

A paper that lays out a cybersecurity policy agenda for the U.S. government. The goal of this agenda is to improve cybersecurity for the nation. 2. The cybersecurity policy agenda may draw on any or all policy mechanisms such as (voluntary, consensus-based governance, public-private partnerships, voluntary guidelines, regulations, law enforcement, intelligence, military, international cooperation, education, etc.) The objectives should include improving the security of critical infrastructure vulnerable to cyber-attacks and intrusions, but it should not be limited to this objective. 3. Your suggestions should be specific and practical. The paper should be readable and understandable for someone who does not have a background in this area. Think about an elected official or a policy adviser without any background in cybersecurity. 4. Your paper should clearly lay out your agenda and be supported with references where appropriate. Subheadings will help organize the paper. 5. Some questions to think about: What is the role of state and local government? How should the US foster international cooperation? Do any of your proposals require action by Congress? What should the DHS and sector-specific agencies do?
