In the conclusion of a study, the writer analyzes the data and considers the wider implications of what he or she has found.
A conclusion should, at minimum, address the following questions:
What meaning/significance can be drawn from the results?
What impact might these results have on the scientific community? The general public?
What were the limitations of your study? What future studies do you suggest should be conducted to compliment your own and strengthen the findings or to fill gaps in knowledge regarding your topic?
These questions are only meant as a general guide. The idea here is to truly consider why your findings matter, to put them into perspective and try to base future actions on the new data.
