The World Bank defines the South Asia Region as the following countries : Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and the
Maldives.
The literature review aims at determining what papers already tackled this topic, by focusing on the methodology used (quantitative) to assess the
determinants of foreign aid.
Determinants of foreign aid are of three categories : Merit, self-interest and growth.
