Choose an article of more than 500 words but less than 3,000 words that has a clear argument or stance on a topic. You have a lot of choice here. You can choose an official article from an esteemed publication, or something more casual, like a blog post. Make sure you name the article in your essay. You must write a 950 (minimum) word essay disagreeing with the article. Think of how the author is trying to persuade, and tell us why they fail. Pick apart the weaknesses in their argument, building upon your skills of rhetorical analysis. You must use your chosen article as a source. You must use at least two additional texts to help disagree with your chosen article—using their research and their parts. Look at parts of your article closely to make broader claims, using at least three quotes from any of the three texts. Your paper should include an introductory paragraph and a conclusion paragraph.
