The Book of Acts is primarily and account of the early Christian Church in the first century in Jerusalem following the death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus. It provides important historical information for this period that students of the Bible and Church history would not otherwise have.
Read Jesus in the Gospels and Acts: Introducing the New Testament 5.1-11. This story often takes people by surprise. ‘What just happened?” (Asked with furrowed brow, squinting eyes and generally scrunched up face.) They just “fell and died”?
