Effect of creativity in the work place of organization
The goal of this assignment is to analyze and apply Organizational Behavior and Management concepts in a real organization. Your task will be to use
concepts from the course to identify, analyze, and develop a plan for resolving a key problem that an organization is facing. Select an issue. The range of
options is large. It needs to involve organizational behavior topics that are relevant to the organization you select. You can choose among topics discussed
during lectures (on the lecture schedule of this syllabus) and/or in the textbook. For example, you may be interested in worker motivation and job
satisfaction, goal commitment and job performance, the effectiveness of teams and real estate worker performance, the personality trait of extraversion and
sales performance. It is very important that you focus your analysis on one core issue. Papers that attempt to do too much typically lose their focus and
receive low marks. I encourage you to contact me to discuss your ideas for topics.
The paper should answer the following questions, using data from your interviews, observations, and/or information from the website of the organization of
your choice to support each answer:
1) What is the nature of the problem?
2) What are the causes of the problem?
3) How can Organizational Behavior and Management concepts be applied and extended to solve the problem?
4) What specific action steps should the organization take to solve the problem? What changes should be implemented?
5) What are the potential barriers, obstacles, and challenges to following your recommendations?
6) What are the risks, costs, and possible unintended consequences of following your recommendations?
7) How will you communicate your findings to your clients, especially the powerful stakeholders and overcome potential resistance?
