A Human Library is just that—a library where the “books” are living people who volunteer to share their stories with “readers”—members of the community.

The goal is —both on campus and off—to learn more about each other, to explore and move beyond stereotypes, and to develop a greater understanding of each other’s unique story.

Post the highlights of your experiences with the Human Library, in class, and outside of class (e.g. family/friends), in discussion in D2L. Your posting should be a synthesis of the two experiences and not simply a summary of the interview answers.

Describe the two experiences. What did you learn from these experiences? How did this assignment have meaning to you both personally and with respect to the course? Did any of your perspectives change after completing the assignment? How?

Your posting should be at least three paragraphs, with three sentences per paragraph.
