Equifax Data Breach
Pick a recent security breach (EQUIFAX data breach) that provides you enough data to build a report that would outline:
• High-Level Description of Security Breach (What was it? what was the impact?)
• Detailed on how the Breach occurred - this should be a description of the Network/Deployment scenario and a step by step illustration of how the breach occurred. It should highlight the gaps found in the environment that the attackers exploited.
• A detailed description of the Events that occurred at the company during the incident.
• Description of the changes made to the company network/security/policies/practices that will make sure this does not happen again. This should include equipment bought, costs impact, changes to processes or practices etc.
• Any additional future recommendations to the Board on improving other security areas.
