At the time of the constitution’s formation, Americans distrusted a strong central government. However, at the same time, they needed to create a governing body that would provide consistency, protections, and other benefits. Many of us continue to distrust strong, centralized (large) governments, while at the same time we tend to look to the government to meet our needs, especially during times of crisis.
1- How does the Constitution address this contradiction?
2- Explore an example of this kind of contradiction from recent/current history. Do you think the Constitution adequately addresses both sides of the debate? Why?
Include clear and strong evidence to support your argument.
