Evidence-based medicine refers to the use of data from research of outcomes in order to determine the best course of action for any particular disease or illness. In this 5-7 page paper, students will choose a disease or illness for which there is research available regarding the use of evidence-based medicine. Students will describe the treatments that have historically been provided for this disease or illness, and how the use of evidence-based medicine has changed the way this condition is treated today. Student should include information regarding how the change in evidence-based medicine has improved the rate of recovery, removal, or remission of the disease
