Locate and interview two executives or leaders. Take notes to the
following questions:

  1. If you were giving advice on Leadership to a new executive, what one or two things would
    you share with them?
  2. In your experience, what makes a good Leader? …a GREAT Leader?
  3. Discuss and review with them what you have learned in MGT 3110 regarding traits vs skills
    and ask them:
    a. What do you consider to be the most important trait in a Leader?
    b. What do you consider to be the most important skill in a Leader?
  4. Does your organization typically hire Leaders from inside or outside the company?
  5. Does your organization have a “formal” leadership development program? If so, describe it
    to me.
    Your task: Summarize your interviews and what you have learned in a 4-5 page executive
    summary comparing and contrasting the responses. Present more than just their responses.
    Analyze and interpret what they said and what you think it means.
