Welcome to Module 1, in which we will begin our exploration of the ever-changing world of physiological psychology. In this class we will explore in depth, both classic and cutting edge research, in what is arguably the most influential area of psychology at the moment.
With the advent of advanced technologies such as fMRI, many different areas of study have embraced neuroscience, including social and personality psychology. It is a good idea to start the course with a short video below of a TED talk by Vilayanur Ramachandran. He is one of the most famous neuroscientists in the world right now, and gives informative and engaging talks.

Here he describes how, as neuroscientists, we can learn about brain function from clinical case studies.
