Chapter Seven discusses Management of Physical Resources. Physical resources are the facilities, apparatus,
equipment, and expandable supplies needed to conduct operations, both emergency and nonemergency.
Because of the importance of a fire department’s physical resources ability to protect life and property, the fire
insurance rates for a community are affected by the quality of these resources. These resources are used by
