Girlfight script essay/synopsis

The Primary Reports are an opportunity for you to further explore an area of filmmaking we have touched upon in class. This report is your pitch to be
hired for this job. All reports should be typed and double-spaced.
You should support your choices with supplemental materials and/or research that is cited and discussed within the body of the essay.
Screenwriting & Story: 6-8 Page Essay (not including supplemental materials)
Read the script: Girlfight
Begin with a synopsis of the script as written (no more than 1 and 1/2 pages). The rest of the essay should be a detailed analysis of the present
strengths and weaknesses of the script as written, followed by a strategy for rewriting the script, noting how the changes you recommend remedy the
weaknesses you’ve identified. Keep in mind that your changes may create additional issues or weaknesses, which you will need to address in your
essay as well. Any changes you recommend need to stay within the original parameters and/or goals of each given script. If possible, try to develop
more than one story solution for each weakness or problem. Consider yourself the writer brought in to rewrite this script and you’re providing the
studio with a detailed summary of how you would approach the script to help them decide if they will hire you for the rewrites.
