If so, then provide evidence and analysis to support your perspective. If not, then how would you judge the period and why?
It is undeniable that industrial capitalism influenced American history to a remarkable degree. Yet, many found reason to criticize industrialization, the accumulation of wealth in the hands of the few, and the laissez-faire approach that typified the Gilded Age. Identify at least 2 individuals or groups who formulated such criticisms. Who were they? What did they propose? Were they successful in realizing their goals? Why or why not?
