How do they represent Afro-Hispanic women and their role in history/slavery? What are some of the tools of empowerment they use in their work? How do they fight against internalized racism and Eurocentric standards of beauty? Since this discussion topic and the Short Writing Assignment 8 are similar, make sure that, if you do both, you choose different authors in your examples.
