Revolutionary in the 60s and 70s, Humanistic Psychology has since lost some of the popularity it enjoyed, with a push toward “Evidence Based Practices,” which tend to primarily be cognitive-behavioral in nature and more easily quantifiable. While the theory and its treatment approaches are still very much in use today, the article attached discusses factors that contributed to the decline in popularity of Humanistic Psychology. Then, compare and contrast the compatibility of Humanistic theory with a Biblical view of man and his worth, to evaluate the theory’s compatibility with a Christian worldview.
