Individual: Revision and Rhetorical Appeals

As a college student, you have written and revised numerous papers. As you have done so, you have likely focused on things like content and delivery: did
you complete your assigned tasks? How well? Is the writing grammatically correct, and so forth? Now it is time to reflect on the revision process, and, ideally,
to deepen the revision process by focusing on the classical rhetorical appeals.
Review Ch. 9 of Writer/Citizen and your notes on it. Next, review the classical rhetorical appeals as described in Ch. 3 of Writer/Citizen.
Write a 350- to 525-word reflection focusing on how incorporating the classical rhetorical appeals will change your revision process. You might consider the
following questions as you do so:
How would you revise for ethos?
How would you revise for logos?
How would you revise for pathos?
When in the revision process, would you revise for these appeals, and why?
How does incorporating these classical rhetorical appeals make the revision process more challenging?
How does it make the process more useful?
