Part II is a brief overview of your three literary articles on your thesis. The point of the assignment is to introduce the scholarly conversation around your story. You want to discuss what critics have traditionally said about your story using relevant quotations from your literary criticism. For each of your sources of literary criticism, you need to come to terms fully with the author’s argument and then consider how each argument might interact with the arguments of the other sources.
Your literature review should have five paragraphs presented according to the following structure:

D. Paragraph on common threads. This paragraph should connect these literary critics’ ideas with each other. i. How are these literary critics’ ideas about the story similar? H. How does the literary critics’ ideas differ? Hi. How can you connect these critics’ arguments even if they are not addressing the same moments of themes in your story?
E. Transition paragraph. You should explain how your argument/thesis statement builds on or enters the scholarly conversation. You want to transition us from their ideas to your ideas: How do the three literary articles connect to your thesis statement?
