The U.S. Congress is made up of two chambers: the House of Representatives and the Senate. This type of two-chamber legislature is very common at the state government-level, as well: all but one state employs a similar system. The one exception to this practice is Nebraska, who has a unicameral, or single chamber, legislature. Here is the Nebraska Legislature's description of its system (please read it and watch the short video describing it): https://www.nebraska.gov/government/legislative/ (Links to an external site.)

What do you think about Nebraska's unicameral legislature? What are the costs and benefits of this type of system?
Should we (as a society) consider a similar system for the United States Congress? Why or why not?
