Nursing clinical practice problem

The first step in this EBP project is to select a nursing clinical practice problem from the approved list, and then write a PICOT question to address the clinical practice problem.

Describe a nursing clinical practice problem that can be answered with research evidence.
Write a PICO(T) question to address the selected clinical practice problem.
Correctly identify each component of the PICO(T) question.
Summarize one peer-reviewed, experimental, or quasi-experimental research study that supports the proposed intervention.

Actions

Describe the nursing clinical practice problem and why the problem is significant to nursing practice. Include data, evidence, or statistics to demonstrate that the identified clinical practice problem is a priority.
Write a PICOT question to address the identified clinical practice problem.
Use the question templates for selected clinical foreground questions (Polit & Beck, 2018, Table 2.1, p. 31
Actions
) to state the PICOT question.
Identify and label each component of the PICOT question.
Ensure the PICOT question describes the clinical practice problem, the proposed intervention, the comparison intervention, the outcome, and includes a timeframe.
Review the PICOT question video in the learning materials for this module as needed.
Search the literature to find one (1) quantitative (experimental, or quasi-experimental) study published in a peer-reviewed journal within the past five (5) years, that addresses the identified practice problem and supports the proposed intervention.
Summarize the research study by describing the research design, sample and setting, major variables (independent variable, dependent variable), major findings, and application of findings to the proposed practice problem and PICOT question. Cite the article using APA format.
Meta-analyses or systematic reviews may only be used to provide background information to demonstrate the existence of the clinical practice problem or to show why the practice problem is a priority. The references from meta-analyses or systematic reviews may also be used to search for experimental or quasi-experimental research studies.
Directions for the paper:

Write a paper that is 2 - 3 pages in length (excluding the student title page and reference list).
Write 1 - 2 paragraphs describing the nursing clinical practice problem.
Discuss why the problem is significant to nursing practice.
Include data, evidence, or statistics to demonstrate that the identified clinical practice problem is a priority.
Write 1 - 2 paragraphs describing the PICOT question.
