For my research project, I plan to investigate the impact of tailored educational interventions on family caregivers' ability to manage chronic pain at home for patients with advanced cancer. Specifically, I aim to explore the effectiveness of a structured educational program that includes hands-on training in pain assessment, medication administration, and non-pharmacological pain relief techniques.
This topic is highly relevant to my literature review, which will examine the existing body of knowledge on pain management in palliative care and the role of family caregivers. By exploring the effectiveness of educational interventions, I hope to contribute to the development of evidence-based strategies that empower caregivers and improve patient outcomes. Qualitative data will be gathered through semi-structured interviews with caregivers to explore their experiences and perceptions of the educational program. By combining these methods, I aim to provide a comprehensive understanding of the impact of tailored educational interventions on family caregivers' ability to manage chronic pain at home.
