Case Study
Bronte is 4 months old, was born at full term and now weighs 7kg. Her parents have presented to the Emergency Department with Bronte saying she is irritable, not feeding well and has a running nose. Bronte appears very sleepy and is not interested in her surroundings. She is febrile [38.5 C] and has a pulse of 162 beats/min and respiratory rate of 48 breathes/min.
