1.Continue with the topic from your Document 13 proposal:
Searching for Job Openings,
Completing Job Applications,
Creating Resumes,
Writing Cover Letters,
Preparing for an Interview,
Surviving the Actual Interview,
Follow-up After an Interview, or
Handling Job Offers.

2.You must have five sources, one from each of the following types:
Career or job hunting site such as Monster, CareerBuilder, etc.
College or university site such as Purdue, Harvard, OSU, etc.
Library database source found on Sinclair’s Library page at http://www.sinclair.edu/services/academic/library/.
Corporate or industry site such as GE, Intel, Apple, etc.
Periodical such as newspaper, magazine, or journal like Business Week, Wall Street Journal, Forbes, etc.

3.Then keep track of what you are finding by noting information that will help you find it again, writing down what is in the source, and noting whether or not you believe the source is credible.

  1. Use the memo format for your annotated bibliography.
  2. Address your memo to your instructor.
  3. Write a subject line that appropriately reflects the content of your memo.
  4. Open with an introductory paragraph describing the information in your memo.
  5. List your five sources as shown in the prior lesson about annotated bibliographies:

skip a line,
single space paragraph about the source’s credibility and “dos” and “don’ts” advice.

  1. Write a conclusion that states the similarities between all sources.
  2. Proofread your document and think about how to use design to keep each source-separated: bullets, bold text, or indents.
