Quality Improvement
As a seasoned nurse, identify a quality improvement issue you have concerns about in your nursing clinical setting. Describe the issue and obtain data as specified below; then analyze the data and plan to improve care related to the issue. Criteria is as follows:
One introduction slide that details the quality improvement issue in clinical practice
• Thoroughly defined quality improvement topic
• Introduction clearly communicates topic; Ideas progress logically; Closing supports main idea.
One slide to discuss the importance of the problem and how a change might improve patient outcomes
• Thoroughly discussed the importance of topic and what it means to improvement of patient outcomes
Have 3-5 research articles that provide proof that a change is warranted. Use one slide per article. The articles must be less than 5 years old to be acceptable. Discuss each article and provide rationale as to why this article/research supports the proposed change.
