In this mini research assignment, I want you to research and analyze your own neighborhood or the neighborhood where you grew up. Is your neighborhood segregated, and has it always been so no matter the racial makeup? Do you live in an Ethnoburb, e.g. Little Italy, or Chinatown? If so, what racial and economic factors contributed to the development and racial makeup of the place you call home. What changes have occurred in your neighborhood that might make it less feel like home?
