Here is a list of questions that you will need to ask. Additionally, you need to create 2-3 (or more) questions of your own that would help you better understand this profession.

  1. What is it that you enjoy most about being in B2B sales?
  2. What was your reason for selecting this profession and this firm?
  3. What is your typical day like?
  4. How do you handle rejection or being turned down for a sale?
  5. What are your opportunities for advancement?

You then select your other 2-3 questions of your own. Try to think of something that might be important to you (travel, co-workers, training, office time, etc.).

For the paper, summarize the responses and then add a section on your reflections. Your reflections should be anywhere between a half to a full page. Discuss most anything that you found relevant, surprising, or informative as to whether or not this might be a career path for you.
